Baseball World Series Championship is an annual event which is the championship title for the preceding MLB season. The two best teams American League and the National League. World Series Tickets are always available from season ticket holders. World Series of Baseball is for sure the premier historic sporting events in the USA, it has been in existence since 1903. In its 108 years of competition, The Baseball World Series has had many MLB teams win far more titles than the rest.
For the record The Oakland Athletics, who previously played in Philadelphia and Kansas City, have the 3rd most MLB World Series titles of all time. The Athletics have appeared in the World Series as the American League representative 14 plus times and have taken home 9 titles. The Oakland A’s recently took home the prize in 1989 when they were dominating with Conseco and Henderson. The teams most successful championship run came started in 1972 and ended in 1974 when they dominated for three consecutive years. The teams in this era depended heavily on outfielder Reggie Jackson and pitchers {Catfish Hunter and Vida Blue|Vida Blue and James Augustus Catfish Hunter.
The New York Yankees, who are also in the AL, have played in the World Series Championship 40 times and have taken home the championship 26 times. Both the New York Yankees and the Oakland Athletics have by far won the most in MLB history. New York Yankees have been an incredibly successful franchise throughout their history, their longest run for an amazing 45 year stretch from 1920 through 1964. In this period of time the NY Yankees went to the World Series a record 29 times and won 20. During these years, many of the Hall of Fame baseball players of all time played for the Yankees, including Mickey Mantle, babe Rush and Lou Gehrig. New York Yankees most recently won the title in 2009 when they were led by Alex Rodriquez and Derek Jeter.
Next to the New York Yankees, the most successful team in World Series history is the St Louis Cardinals. The St Louis Cardinals, who represent the National League, have made it to the World Series Championship 17 times and won 10 times. The Cardinals most recently won the World Series in 2006 when they were led by first basemen Albert Pujols. The Cardinals had an impressive run of wins between 1926 and 1934 when they went to the series 5 times winning 3. World Series History is amazing and during the years 1942 and 1946 St Louis Cardinals took home an additional 3 titles as they were led by Hall of Famer Stan Musial.
